These petrified wood bookends have a variation in rich orange tones.

Petrified wood is the result of a process that is over millions of years old, when a tree's trunk has turned into stone by the process of permineralization. Permineralization is a process of fossilization in which mineral deposits form internal casts of organisms. Carried by water, these minerals fill the spaces within organic tissue.
